Custom Pool Construction

Custom Inground Pool Design and Construction

As a custom inground pool builder in Florida, Luxury Builders Florida takes a backyard from first sketch through the final walkthrough, handling design, excavation, construction, and finishing under one crew across Orlando and Central Florida.

An inground swimming pool is one of the largest additions most homeowners ever make to a property, and getting the shape, depth, and equipment right the first time matters more than it does on a smaller project. We handle pool design and construction as one continuous project, with a single point of contact from the first site visit to the day the pool is ready to swim in.

Design Options

Every Yard Calls for a Different Pool Shape

Beach Entry Pool Travertine Pavers Lake

Geometric and Modern Pools

Clean rectangular and linear shapes suit newer, structured lots and pair well with a paver or travertine deck laid in a matching pattern.

Travertine Pool Turf Spa Palm Trees

Freeform and Lagoon Style Pools

Curved, natural lines suit larger or irregular lots, especially where the pool needs to follow existing landscaping rather than a straight property line.

Beach Entry Pool Travertine Lights Florida

Beach Entry Pools

A gradual, walk in slope replaces the usual steps, a layout families with young children ask for often, and one we typically pair with a sun shelf for shallow lounging.

How It Comes Together

From Permit Application to First Swim

01

Design and Permitting

We start with a free site visit to measure the yard and sketch a layout that fits the space. Most Central Florida municipalities require a building permit for new pool construction, and communities with an architectural review board, including Lake Nona and Celebration, add a design approval step before that permit goes in.

02

Excavation

Central Florida’s sandy, fast draining soil is generally workable for excavation, but low lying yards can have a higher water table, so the crew checks groundwater conditions before digging starts and schedules around the summer rainy season where possible.

03

Construction

Once the excavation is cut to depth, the crew sets the structural shell, plumbing lines, and pool equipment. A spa, sun shelf, or beach entry gets built into the structure at this stage rather than added on afterward.

04

Finishing

The final stage covers the interior surface, the travertine or paver pool deck around the water, and start up, filling and balancing the pool before the last walkthrough. A written warranty covers our workmanship at handover.

One crew for the whole backyard

Because we also build the patios and outdoor living spaces around a pool, the deck, the patio, and the pool itself get designed and built together instead of coordinated between separate contractors.

Transparent pricing before you sign

Every proposal lays out materials, layout, and cost up front, so the price you agree to at the design stage is the price on the final invoice, with no hidden costs added later.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Pool Construction in Florida

Timelines vary with permitting review, HOA approval where it applies, and the complexity of the design, so we do not quote a generic number. Your proposal includes a specific schedule for your yard once the free consultation is complete.

Yes. New inground pool construction requires a building permit in every Central Florida municipality we work in, and Florida law also requires a code compliant safety barrier around the pool. We handle the permit application as part of the project.

If your community has an architectural review board, common in areas like Lake Nona and Celebration, your design typically needs sign off before the permit is submitted. We build that review time into your project schedule.

A beach entry needs to be built into the pool structure from the start. A spa is easier and less costly to add during initial construction than afterward, so we go over these options at the design stage rather than after the shell is in.

Excavation disturbs the ground directly around the pool footprint and the path equipment needs to reach it. We walk through access routes and any turf or plants that will need to be removed or protected before work starts.

Heavy afternoon storms can pause a specific task, such as a concrete pour, but they do not stop a project outright. We schedule weather sensitive stages with Central Florida’s rainy season in mind and communicate any adjustments as they come up.

Both. Alongside residential backyard pools, we build custom inground pools for commercial and condominium properties across the Orlando area.
